Principal's message

Dear Parents,

It is with much pleasure that the Staff and I welcome you and your family to St Mary's.

If this is your first encounter with our school we hope that it will be a positive and meaningful one. Your child is entering a caring and supportive environment, one where our very professional staff will give their all to encourage in each pupil a love of learning and positive self esteem. We will work with you the parents at providing every child with security in a caring Christian ambience.

The school provides educational programs which cater for the spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical development of all students. We aim to provide a comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on providing every child with the skills necessary to commence the next stage of their education after completing their primary years. We believe every child is capable of achieving excellence in areas of their choice and see it as our responsibility to foster this.

All our teaching is underpinned by the strong sense of our Catholic faith and heritage and so we see the school's Religious Education Programs as an integral part of our curriculum. Our discipline system is based on justice and concern for others.

We do hope your child's time at St Mary's is a happy and fruitful period in his or her life. As well we hope that our association with every set of parents will be equally rewarding for we welcome also the special qualities you will bring to our school.
